Work with list views
Filter, choose columns, and save the searches you repeat, on every list in Givable.
Every list in Givable works the same way: supporters, donations, funds, events and the rest. Learn it once here.
Filter the list
Open Filters
Select Filters. The number beside it tells you how many conditions are active.
Add a condition
Select Add filter, pick a field, and choose what to match. You can filter on any field your organization has, including custom ones.
Combine conditions
With more than one condition, Match appears: All (every condition must be true), Any (at least one), or Custom.
Custom lets you write the logic yourself by condition number, for example 1 AND (2 OR 3).
Apply
Select Apply. Clear removes every condition.
Dates understand more than exact days. You can ask for this month, last quarter, the last 30 days, or gifts older than a year, which is how you find donors who have gone quiet.
Choose your columns
Select Display:
- Active columns are what you see now. Drag to reorder them.
- Available columns are everything else you could add.
- Fixed columns can't be removed, because the list needs them.
- Reset puts everything back.
On an object with many fields, a search box appears so you can find one quickly.
Save a view
A view remembers your filters, your columns and their order.
Set the list up the way you want it
Filter and choose columns first.
Save as new view
The link appears as soon as the list differs from the saved view you started from.
Name it and choose who sees it
Private (only you), Shared with a role (everyone with that role), or Shared with everyone.
Your saved views are grouped under My views, Shared with me and Organization. Changed a view and want to keep the change? Select Update view.
Sharing a view with a role or with everyone needs permission to manage shared views. Private views are always available to you.
Make a view your default
Select the pin beside a view to have it open automatically on that screen. Select it again to unpin. It's the quickest win in this whole page: pin the view you actually work from.
Choose the figures across the top
Most lists carry a strip of figures above them, and you choose which ones. Select the gear beside Period to open Customize KPI cards, then move cards between Shown and Available, and order them.
The Period control switches all of them between this month, this quarter and this year.
Your selection is yours. An administrator can select Set as org default to make a choice the starting point for everyone, and anyone can still keep their own. Reset to org default puts yours back.
Search and refresh
The search box filters the list as you type. The refresh button reloads it, which is handy when gifts are arriving while you watch.
Reading the footer
The footer tells you what you're looking at: Showing 1 to 25 of 43, how many rows Per page, which page you're on, and a Total for money columns. With no matches it reads No records, which usually means your filters are narrower than you intended.
