Invite your team
Add colleagues, choose what they can do, and remove access when someone leaves.
Settings > Team is where you manage who can sign in to your organization and what they can do. It has two tabs: Members and Roles.
Before you start: you need permission to manage your team. Most organizations keep this with administrators.
Invite someone
Open Settings > Team and select Invite member
The invitation window takes several people at once.
Enter an email and pick a role
Select Add another for each extra person. Each one can have a different role.
Send
Everyone gets an email with a link to accept.
New colleagues set their own password and two-step verification the first time they sign in, so you never handle anyone's password.
Givable checks as you type and tells you if an address is already on the team, is listed twice, or isn't a valid email.
While an invitation is pending
Pending people appear in the list marked Invitation pending. From the menu on their row you can:
- Resend invitation if it didn't arrive or was lost.
- Revoke invitation to cancel it before it's accepted.
The members list
Columns are Member, Role, Last active and Status. Status is Active, Pending or Archived.
Last active is useful twice a year: it tells you who's actually using Givable, which is usually who should still have access.
Change someone's role
Select Change role... on their row and pick a new one. The change takes effect on their next action.
Givable won't let you leave the organization without an administrator. If you try to change or archive the only one, it tells you to make someone else an administrator first. Worth knowing before the only admin leaves.
When someone leaves
There's no delete, only Archive member, and that's deliberate: their history stays intact and attributed. Archiving ends their access immediately.
Archived people are hidden until you turn on Show archived, and Reactivate member brings someone back, which is handy for a returning seasonal colleague.
What each person controls themselves
You set someone's role and whether they have access. Their own name, photo, phone, password, two-step verification and notification preferences are theirs, under their profile. You can't change those for them.
